Explosion at Madison County Motel Sends Two to the Hospital
The New York State Police Department is investigating what caused an explosion that sent two people to the hospital.
According to police, Madison County 911 received a call just before 3 a.m. on Saturday morning with a report of a possible fire or explosion in one of the motel rooms at the Sharway Motel. When police responded, they found two individuals with severe burn injuries.
One of the victims was a 41-year-old male and the other was a 33-year-old female. Both were transported to SUNY Upstate for Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
