Family Worries Woman Went Missing Walking Home From Work
How much tragedy can one family take? Less than a month after losing one daughter, another is missing.
21 year-old Michaela MacVilla was last seen walking home from her job at Stewart's in St Johnsville at 12:10am Wednesday, September 26th. She was wearing a dark blue Aero hooded sweatshirt, maroon shirt, black pants, white sneakers and a "Stewart’s Shop" visor.
Kevin Jump, Michaela's father says the family appreciates everything everyone has done."We could never have survived this far without the help and more importantly the love and support of our friends and our community. Right now the best thing is to let the men and women of law enforcement and related agencies to do their job and allow them the space and time they need to do what they do best."
A missing person's report has been filed at the St Johnsville Police Department. If you have any information or know where MacVilla is, call 518-568-2141. You can also contact the Canajoharie Police Department with any information or the New York State Police.
"I don’t know what is worse knowing? Or not knowing. I am so sick with worry. I just want my baby girl back home," writes Michaela's mother Samantha Jump writes on Facebook.
The family is still mourning the loss of Kimberly Jump who passed away unexpectedly August 31st at the age of 24. Hopefully they won't have to endure any more tragedy and Michaela will be found and return home safe.
"After we already lost one daughter, I am begging you to please come forward with any info you have," pleads Kevin Jump. "We just absolutely need to bring her back home safe where she belongs. Please have some mercy on this family that has already endured more than you could imagine."
A candlelight vigil is being held Saturday, September 29th at 6pm to help light Michaela's way home. It'll be at the corner of West Main and South Division in St Johnsville.
