Fatal Accident On Southern State Parkway Still Under Investigation

State Police in Farmingdale say that a fatal accident on the Southern State Parkway just west of the Sagtikos Parkway is still under investigation.

The crash occurred on Friday, December 6, 2013 just before 11:30pm.  The driver of a 2000 Acura was travelling westbound and apparently lost control of her car, hitting several trees on the right shoulder before overturning.

The driver, 25-year old Lizette Land of Brentwood, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene.
