Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Leroy

A teenager from Bergen, New York is dead following a crash this weekend.

Nineteen year-old motorcycle driver Derek Sheldon was killed after colliding with a car that may have turned into his path as he was northbound on West Bergen Road in the Town of Leroy.

His passenger, Ashley Stillwell, also nineteen and from Bergen, was listed in critical condition at a local hospital as of the latest report.

The investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed against the driver of the car involved, fifty year-old Marilyn Brassie.

New York State Police are working with, and were assisted by, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, and the Leroy Fire Department.
