Fires At Parkway Ski Chalet

Utica police and fire officials were investigating a half a dozen small fires apparently set along the ski chalet at Val Bialis Sports Center on Friday night.

Police officials could be seen speaking with a man at the scene, but no charges have been filed as their investigation is ongoing.

The handful of small fires involved bales of hay at the base of the chalet's support posts but fire officials arrived quickly. It is not known if the chalet, or its beams were damaged.
