Floyd Man Sentenced To State Prison On Rape Charge

A Floyd man has been sentenced in Herkimer County Court to 18 years in state prison and 10 years of post release supervision after being convicted on a rape charge.

Herkimer County District Attorney Jeffery Carpenter, who prosecuted the case, says 46-year old Erik Kenney was convicted following a four-day jury trial.

Kenney was charged with having forcible sex with a woman in the Town of Webb in August of 2016.

He's currently in the Herkimer County Jail awaiting transportation to state prison.
