Update: Fuel Spill Closes North South Arterial In New Hartford
UPDATE 4/21/17: Motorists should expect traffic to be reduced to one lane both North and Southbound Friday as crews work to cleanup fuel which spilled during the accident. That reduction to a single lane is expected for much of the workday on Friday.
UPDATE 11:07: New Hartford Police say two of the three drivers in Thursday's accident suffered only minor injuries. One of the tractor trailer drivers was not injured.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call the New Hartford PD at (315) 724-7111.

New Hartford Police are asking motorists to avoid the Wilbur Road area for the next several hours due to a motor vehicle accident and fuel spill.
The North-South Arterial is closed in both directions starting at the Yahnundasis intersection to the Town Line.
The "cloverleaf" Rt 5/8/12 interchange is also closed.
There are reports that 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled on the highway.
The New Hartford Fire Department and State DEC are on the scene.
Police say expect delays and plan accordingly if traveling in that area.
