Girl Struck And Killed By School Bus In Upstate NY

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities are investigating an accident in which a 7-year-old girl was fatally struck by a school bus in upstate New York.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office says the girl was struck after she exited the bus at around 3:40 p.m. on Friday.

It happened near North Buffalo Street in the village of Springville, about 35 miles south of Buffalo.

Authorities say the girl was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Investigators are looking into what caused the accident.
