Grand Jury Indicts Utica Man on Murder Charge

Utica, NY (WIBX) - An Oneida County Grand Jury indicts a Utica man on a second degree Murder charge.  According to Utica police, 31-year old Octavius Garrett was arrested late last week for his role in the 2011 homicide of Anthony Garner.

Earlier this year, 31-year old Marshall Jackson was sentenced to 25 years to life after a jury found him guilty of second degree murder, weapon possession and possessing a stolen gun.

Anthony Garner's death took place in the area of James & West Streets within the City of Utica.
