You can get rid of your old electronics, confidential documents and expired medications at a free drop off event this Saturday, October 3rd,  in Rome.

The drop off will take place from 10:00 to 3:00 at the Westgate Shopping Plaza.

The bi-annual event is sponsored by Senator Joseph Griffo.

“I know how burdensome it can be to dispose of old clunky appliances and piles of old documents that are just sitting around, so we’ll be here to make that task easier,” Sen. Griffo said.

For the first time, you can dispose of sharps and needles.

Sunnking will be accepting computers, TVs, electronics and small appliances, while Confidata will be accepting up to five boxes per car of paper documents from shredding.

The Rome Police Department will be collecting any unused medication.
