Heat Advisory In Effect for Much of Central New York
Another Heat Advisory is in place for Central New York. The National Weather Service has issued the advisory to begin at noon and run until 8 p.m.
Several counties including Oneida, Herkimer and Madison counties are impacted by the advisory. A heat advisory can lead to several weather related heat illnesses. Make sure to drink plenty of water and consistently check on children and the elderly.

THIS EVENING...* HEAT INDEX VALUES...In the upper 90s due to temperatures
around 90, and dewpoints around 70.* TIMING...Monday afternoon into early evening.
* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
