Herkimer County Man Accused of Sending Lewd Video to Teen

A Schuyler man is behind bars after allegedly sending a sexually explicit video to a minor.

State Police report that 28-year-old Michael A. Derby is accused of sending a video containing sexual content to a 15-year-old male.

He was arraigned in the Village of New York Mills Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $2,500 cash/bond.

The victim has been offered services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, and they are helping State Police with the investigation. Derby is charged with Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor in the 1st degree, a class "D" felony and other charges are pending.
