EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (AP) — A Long Island hospital has helped with the birth of dozens of babies since 1997. But these little ones aren't human.

A pair of peregrine falcons have produced five eggs on a 17th story window ledge at Nassau University Medical Center.

Hospital officials call the parents Mr. and Mrs. Meadowbrook.

On Monday, a biologist will examine the nest to see if there are, indeed, five little falcons.

The biologist will put bands on the baby birds so the state Department of Environmental Conservation can track them.
