New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has filed a lawsuit against the Utica City School District for what he alleges are disparities in the district regarding the educational opportunities of immigrants and minorities.

Local legislators have called the allegations "ridiculous," some suggesting that they are politically motivated.  Others say that there may be merit to the allegations and the case should play out in court.

What do you think?  Do you have experience with the Utica City School District that would make the case for one side or another?
