These 32 Speed Cameras Could Cost You — 6 Are in Central New York
Those speed cameras have moved into Central New York. 6 are spread out in Oneida, Herkimer, and Onondaga counties.
The cameras move to different construction projects every week, and if you're not paying attention to those reduced speed limits, a ticket could show up in your mailbox.
This week you'll find 32 cameras on 23 roads across the state.

Speed Cameras Are Watching in Work Zones
The Automated Work Zone Speed Enforcement program was created to slow drivers down and protect highway workers.
The cameras are set up in active construction zones and can capture speeding vehicles and license plates automatically.
Drivers caught speeding receive a notice in the mail.
First Violation: $50 fine
Second Violation: $75 fine within 18 months
Third and Additional Violations: $100 fine within 18 months

Slow Down and Save Yourself the Ticket
The easiest way to avoid a work zone speeding ticket is pretty simple: slow down.
New York officials say speeding continues to be one of the biggest dangers facing road crews working just feet from moving traffic.
Enforcement cameras and increased patrols are being used statewide to keep both workers and drivers safe.
