Legendary comedian and actor Jerry Lewis told reporters at Thursday’s Cannes Film Festival press conference that ’he’s bothered by female comedians.“  Lewis said he didn’t have any favorite female comics and said he can’t sit and watch women degrade themselves.  “I cannot sit and watch a lady diminish her qualities to the lowest common denominator,“ he said. “I just can’t do that.“Back in 1998, Lewis made headlines when he said ’would-be moms shouldn’t do comedy and watching them, “set him back a bit.“  The 87-year-old comedian was is promoting his independent film, “Max Rose“ where he stars as an elderly man.
