Kaitlyn Conley of Sauquoit will spend 23 years in state prison for the 2015 poisoning death of chiropractor Mary Yoder.

Conely was sentenced today in Oneida County Court by Judge Michael Dwyer.

Conley was found guilty of manslaughter last November after her first trial ended with a hung jury in May of 2017.

Members of the Conely and Yoder families spoke before the sentencing.

Mary's husband Bill Yoder told the court Katie is a danger to society and he believes she would kill again. He asked for the maximum sentence of 25 years.

Her son Adam said quote -- "“I hate the defendant with every bone in my body and every drop of blood in my veins.”

Kaitlyn Conley also spoke in court and said she was innocent.

Conley's attorney plans to appeal the decision.
