Senator Joseph Griffo, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente have sent a letter to Governor Cuomo, urging him to seek additional assistance from the federal government for those affected by recent flooding.

The lawmakers are also asking for New York State to provide financial assistance to those impacted by the recent severe weather.

“As we have done in the past, we are urging New York State to also make financial assistance available to those impacted by this recent flooding event,” Deputy Minority Leader Griffo, Assemblywoman Buttenschon and County Executive Picente wrote in their letter to the Governor. “We believe that further assistance from the state and federal government would help to alleviate the significant flooding concerns and challenges shared by many homeowners, businesses, local governments and others over the last several years.”
