Utica, NY (WIBX) - The League of Women Voters is hosting a free Voter Participation Project Workshop to find a solution to weak election turnouts.

This Saturday, from 10 a.m. until noon, in MVCC's Payne Hall, the group will ask for the public's input on ways to increase voter registration.

Among the possible solutions are online voter registrations, better ballot designs and more voter education programs.

According to the group, during the last three federal elections, New York's participation ranked 47th in the nation.
