Legislator Opposes Use Of E-Cigs On Oneida County Property

Oneida County Legislator Emil Paparella is sponsoring a measure that would ban the use of electronic cigarettes on county-owned property.

Paparella says the safety of e-cigarettes is still unknown.

He says every day, many children visit county buildings and they shouldn't think smoking of any kind is safe or acceptable.

The FDA announced plans last week to regulate e-cigarettes and ban sales to minors.
