Little Falls Hospital Lockdown Not Caused By Active Shooter

Little Falls Hopital was placed on lockdown for about an hour Thursday night as Little Falls Police responded to a call requesting a welfare check on Burwell Street.

Police say due to the proximity of the hospital, they followed their internal protocols and went into lockdown.

The event came to an end when the subject of the initial welfare check was located and found to be deceased.

Authorities say no additional information will be released out of respect for that person and their family and friends

They say the lockdown procedure at the hospital was precautionary and not in response to an active shooter, which had been posted on social media.

Police say anyone using social media accounts should really think before they post information they do not know to be accurate.
