
Local Red Cross Chapter Assists Five After North Utica Fire
The local chapter of the American Red Cross is providing assistance to five people following a structure fire in Utica.
Utica Fire officials were called to a residence on Van Roen Road near Van Rensselaer Road just after 10:00 p.m. Monday.
The Mohawk Valley Chapter of the Red Cross assisted two adults and three children, ages 11, 8 and 5. They provided financial assistance, personal care items and stuffed animals for the kids.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
