Madison County Sheriff’s Investigate Double Fatal Accident

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says two people were killed this morning in a one-car accident in the Town of  Lincoln.

It happened at around 9:15 on Buyea Road, between Eddy and Whitman Roads.

The accident was reported to Madison County 911 by a driver who came upon the scene.

Deputies say the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.  Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the victims will not be released until family members are notified.

The investigation is continuing.
