Three Facing Multiple Weapons Charges In Canastota

Three teens are facing several weapons charges after being arrested by Madison County Sheriff's Office investigators.

The three were arrested after the alleged sale of a stolen handgun took place on the grounds of the South Side Elementary School in Canastota.

17-year old Jeffery Cox and 16-year old Erika Pieterek, both from Canastota, are facing charges including criminal sale of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon.

An unidentified 14-year old boy from Chittenango was also charged in the incident.

The Canastota Police Department assisted in the investigation.
