Man Accused Of Threatening Girlfriend With Gun, Knife

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is in jail for allegedly holding a gun to his girlfriend's head. Officials say they arrested 21 year old Miguel Collazo of Utica for the domestic violence incident that happened on September 16, 2010.

Collazo is accused of forcing the victim to the floor and placing the barrell of a 12 gauge shotgun against her head and threatening to kill her. The victim told police that Collazo also pressed a knife to her throat.

After an lengthy investigation, officials say they charged the suspect with 2 counts of Menacing in the 2nd Degree, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree. He was arraigned in Utica City Court where bail was set at $2,500. The victim was also issued an order of protection.
