A Town of Paris man was arrested after the bullets he was shooting ended up hitting a home.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 51-year old James Battista was target practicing with a 22-caliber riflle about a quarter-mile away from the home on Brennan Road.

Battista was charged with reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm acoss a public highway.

Deputies say another charge may be filed pending further investigation.
