A Brooklyn man is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to smuggle drugs into the Mohawk Correctional Facility in Rome.

State Police say 38-year old Nigel Stallings was in possession of suboxone and the synthetic drug K-2 when he entered the prison to visit an inmate.

Stalling was charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was sent to the Oneida County Jail on $10,000 bail.
