A Mohawk woman was arrested on charges of being in possession of a controlled substance following a prison contraband investigation at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
Authorities say two women, who were at the facility to visit two separate inmates, were caught trying to sneak the drugs in on March 31, 2018, but were foiled by a K9 who alerted staff after apparently detecting the drugs.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is adding to the list of charges for an alleged burglar. 28-year-old Louis Cosimeno of Ilion was brought into the correctional facility on burglary charges when a deputy noticed something in his shorts.
