Man Charged With Stealing From Auto Dealership

Watertown, NY (WIBX) - State Police have arrested a Dexter man for allegedly stealing nearly $23,000 from Davidson's Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC in Watertown.

Police say 45-year old Lyle Salter was employed as a service manager at the dealership from October of 2008 through this month.

Investigators say Salter altered repair orders to conceal the theft of the money.

He was charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records.
