Man Crashes, Falls Into Well

Deansboro, NY (WIBX) - A Cassville man was charged with DWI after a bizarre accident on Route 12B in Deansboro.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 27-year old Jason Harris lost control of his pickup truck at around 11:00 last night and went off the road.

The pickup traveled for about one-tenth of a mile in a ditch, taking out road signs, before launching over a driveway and careening across the road.

The vehicle then hit a large cement well on the front lawn of a home and busted it open.

Deputies say when Harris exited the truck, he fell into the well, but was able to free himself before deputies arrived.

Harris was found hiding nearby.

He suffered only minor injuries.
