Man On Bath Salts Pulls Knife, Officer Draws Gun

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man on bath salts held a knife to his chest and claimed that he wanted to cut out his heart.

His mom called police. The responding officer drew her gun to get the 39-year old, who was yelling and running from the house with the knife, to finally drop it.

The man, described as being "distraught," was brought to the hospital and claimed that he took bath salts two days ago and is still feeling their effects.
