PALMYRA, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a body has been found inside a burning home in upstate New York.

Officials in Wayne County say emergency crews responded around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a fire at a house in Palmyra, 20 miles east of Rochester.

Firefighters tried to get inside the home but intense flames drove them back. Crews eventually extinguished the blaze and found a man's body inside.

Police haven't identified the body yet.

No one else was injured in the fire. The home was destroyed.
