For the second straight year the Millers Mills Ice Harvest has been canceled.

According to the group, Grange members checked the ice yesterday, to find it was only four inches thick.

Last week's warm weather and rain reduced the amount of ice, leaving conditions unsafe for both workers and visitors. In addition, with the preparation that goes into hosting the harvest, a decision had to be made well in advance of the February 10 event.

This is the fourth time in eight years that the Millers Mills Ice Harvest has had to be canceled.
