Heavy thunderstorms pushed through the Mohawk Valley on Monday and it resulted in more flooding for local residents.  Rick Short, a local business executive and musician sent in the photo above showing a flooded area on Chateau Drive in Whitestown following one of the thunderstorms.  "The drains can't handle the deluge," he said in an email to WIBX. The photo was taken at 1:15 p.m..

Forecasters are calling for more unsettled weather for Monday evening before drying out on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the mid 80's.  Chief Meteorologist Rachel Witter at Eyewitness News told WIBX today that this cycle of unsettled weather seems to be with us through the remainder of July, at least. "We're even looking a temperatures dropping down 10 degrees below normal during one of the storms we're looking at for early next week," she added.
