Munnsville Woman Killed In Two-Car Crash

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says a two car accident in the town of Westmoreland took the life of a Munnsville woman.

Heather Nazel, 20, was traveling west on Route 5 at around 7:30 this morning, when she lost control of her vehicle and entered the opposite lane.

Another driver struck her vehicle, which then hit a utility pole.

Both were taken to the hospital, where Nazel was pronounced dead. The other driver received treatment for minor injuries.

No tickets were issued and the accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Oneida County Sheriff's Office at (315) 736-0141.

Sheriff's Deputies were assisted at the scene by Central Oneida County Ambulance and the Westmoreland Fire Department.
