State Police have arrested two people and taken thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs off the streets in Chenango County.

28-year old Jordan Melendez and 24-year old Kimberly Ross, both from Pennsylvania, are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The arrests stem from search warrants executed at multiple locations in Chenango County.

Authorities say the seized about a pound and-a-half of Crytal Meth, an ounce of pure Fentany; and about 20 pounds of marijuana.  Police say the total street value of the drugs is $96,000.

They also located 4 handguns, 16 illegally possessed long guns, scales, packaging materials and over $3,300 in cash.

Both suspects were arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and sent to Chenango County Jail with no bail.

The case remains under investigation and additional charges are possible.
