New Hartford Man Arrested for Beating and Choking a Woman

A New Hartford man is facing several charges following a domestic dispute on Shepard Avenue.

Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on June 4th. According to police, the victim claimed she was beaten, choked and held down preventing her from calling 911.

The accused is 27-year-old Jonathan Ruggiero. He was arrested and charged with Harassment^, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Unlawful Imprisonment. He was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and remanded without bail.
