The Governor of New York is protesting a decision made made his counterpart in North Carolina.Gov. Andrew Cuomo is banning all non-essential state travel to North Carolina.  He signed an executive order on Monday requiring all state department agencies and departments to eliminate all publicly-funded travel to The Tarheel State to protest Gov. Pat McCrory's support of a law that bans transgender persons from using the bathrooms of the gender with which they identify.

Meanwhile Roy Cooper, the Attorney General of North Carolina, says that he will not defend the state's new law.  He says that the law that bans local governments from passing anti-discrimination rules is a "national embarrassment."
