BLOOMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) — State Police still haven't closed the case of a 75-year-old northern New York woman who's been missing for nearly two decades.

Harriet Olsen of Bloomingdale was last seen at her residence just north of Saranac Lake in June 2000. Her husband, Henry, reported her missing after dinner. He told troopers he went outside to the garage for less than an hour and she was gone when he returned to the residence.

Olsen was described as 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, with short gray hair and glasses, and in fairly good physical health. But she was believed to be suffering from Alzheimer's.

Extensive searches over two weeks by state police, forest rangers, and environmental conservation police came up empty.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 518-897-2000.
