NY Police Searching For Man Sought For Crimes In 2 States
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they're searching for a man considered armed and dangerous after he committed multiple crimes in New York and Connecticut before evading law enforcement.
The unidentified suspect is wanted after police say he robbed a bank, stole a car and terrorized a family in suburban Westchester County among other crimes.
Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect captured while he held up the Patriot National Bank in Greenwich, Connecticut, late Wednesday afternoon.
After the robbery, police say the man led officers on a vehicle chase down Interstate 95 into New York, where he crashed his getaway car and fled into a condo complex in Port Chester.
He was last seen by the family whose house he broke into before fleeing in a stolen pickup truck that was found in the Bronx.
