Local officials joined by Sheriff Rob Maciol today joined several Oneida County Jail inmates at a graduation ceremony.
Since July, the 15 inmates have been taking GED classes as well as earning certificates for various programs including anger management and employment and life skills.

One of the 15 also completed his high school diploma.

Sheriff Maciol says the job of corrections is to help inmates transition back into a law abiding lifestyle.

The rehabilitation programs are made possible by Mohawk Valley Community Action and the Oneida Herkimer Madison BOCES.
