The Oneida Indian Nation is holding a public conference on Monday at the NFL fall league meeting in Washington.

Representative Ray Halbritter, lawmakers and student activists from Cooperstown High School will be gathering at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in DC to discuss the growing "Change The Mascot" movement.

The Oneida Indian Nation, which is a sponsor of the NFL, feels that the nickname "Redskins" is offensive and derogatory.

Two students from Cooperstown High School who led the effort to change the school's mascot from Redskins to Hawkeyes this year will also make their case for changing Washington's mascot.
