Miami appears to have solidified its spot in the NCAA Tournament while hurting Syracuse's chances of earning an invitation, beating the Orange 62-57 in the second round of the ACC Tournament at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Kamari Murphy recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Hurricanes, who will play top-seeded North Carolina in Thursday's quarterfinals.

Andrew White led the Orange with 22 points and Tyus Battle added 14.

Syracuse fell to 18-14 with the loss.
