Part Of Route 5S In Utica To Be Closed Monday

Drivers traveling westbound along Route 5S in Utica will have to accommodate a small detour into their normal commutes.

On Monday, Oriskany Boulevard will be shut down between Broadway and Auditorium Drive, as the Upper Mohawk Valley Regional Water Authority repairs a water main break.

The State Department of Transportation says the road will be shut down from seven in the morning until eight in the evening, but detours will be posted to help maintain the flow of traffic.

Motorists are also reminded that work zone speeding violations will result in a doubled fine.
