The State of Emergency will remain in effect for the next five days until further notice from Picente. Officials say it will take two days for the flood waters to recede and for Public Works crews to clear all the debris. Residents are urged to use extreme caution when driving on any roadways littered with debris. Also, officials say motorists should avoid driving in standing water and everyone should stay away from any rushing water. It's recommended to seek higher ground when confronted with flash flood waters.
