SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Police are investigating a stray bullet that landed in a State University of New York college dormitory.

Syracuse.com reports that no one was hurt when the bullet lodged in a bedroom wall at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry dorm early Saturday.

The school's interim president, David C. Amberg, said in an email to community members that police think the bullet was fired from a vehicle on Interstate 81.

In May 2016, a bullet fired from a vehicle on I-81 went through a window in a Syracuse University student housing complex and landed in a cereal box.
