Update: (10:16 A.M. 5/2/2017): Yorkville Police have confirmed the name of the suspect at large wanted on several charges. Dwayne Hoby Faulkner is still at large. He was last seen wearing a tan polo shirt and blue jeans in the area of the Oriskany Flats North of Route 69 and West of Route 291. Anyone who with information is asked to call 911. Do not approach the subject. He is considered to be armed at this time.

Update: (4:35 A.M. 5/2/2017): As of Tuesday morning it has been determined that the lockdown at Colgate University was unrelated to the manhunt for the armed suspect in Whitesboro. Update: (9:46 P.M. 5/1/2017): Police were searching the Whitesboro area for an armed man on Monday afternoon. As of the posting, police have not provided additional details on the identity of the person they were looking for.

Residents in Whitesboro received a 911 text message at about 5:30 telling them to "shelter in place."

Police shutdown a portion of Clinton Street as they search for the man, but the road was re-opened by 7:00 p.m.
The UticaOD.com reported that search had shifted focus to the Oriskany area.

Police reported that the search for the man was called off due to inclement weather.
