Port Leyden IRA Worker Charged with Endangering Welfare
An employee at the Port Leyden IRA, a facility under the Office of Persons with Developmental Disabilities, is facing a misdemeanor charge after a complaint and investigation by State Police.
Staff at the facility reported that employee Morgan Baslow, 25, of Boonville used physical contact toward a resident which included pushing, yelling and swearing, police said. The incident occurred in December.
Baslow has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person in the second degree - a Class A misdemeanor.
The Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs assisted in the investigation, state police said.
