Private Sector Job Growth Continues In New York

Make it 20 months in a row and counting.

New York's private sector job count grew by 17,300 in July, marking the 20th consecutive month of private sector job growth in the state.

The New York State Department of Labor says the latest monthly employment gain raised New York's overall private sector job count to 7,603,300 an all-time high.

The state's unemployment rate was unchanged last month at 6.6%

That's lowest level since November 2008.
