Propane Delivery Driver Dies After He’s Pinned Beneath Truck
KEENE, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a propane delivery truck driver in the Adirondacks has died after his vehicle rolled on top of him as he tried to place a chock under the wheel.
State police said Monday that 62-year-old Daniel Mitchell of Keeseville was delivering propane to a home on Hulls Falls Road in Keene on Friday when the accident happened. The truck started to roll after he parked it, and Mitchell tried to stop it using a chock but the vehicle rolled on top of him and pinned him.
Police were dispatched to the address around 2 p.m. and emergency personnel removed Mitchell from beneath the truck. He was pronounced dead at a Plattsburgh hospital Friday evening.
